Our History
A vision by founder Director, Sheila Hunt – a farmer’s wife, saw and felt there was a need for a residential care home in the country on a working farm, for local elderly farmers.
– People who still wanted to be able to see and hear livestock.
– See the fields of corn.
– The smell of making hay, yet needed the help and assistant of residential care.
– To be cared for in in comfortable, homely, friendly and dedicated surroundings.
With determination, dedication and belief in the vision, the farmhouse of Sheila and Maurice, was partly converted in to “Eastfield Farm Residential Care Home” and opened in April 1991 with 11 places. Over the years the demand has created the business to expand to currently 26 places. “Eastfield” is a small, warm, loving and caring residential home with a ‘home from home, look after people as we would our own’ philosophy by fully trained, dedicated staff.

At Eastfield Farm Residential Home, we celebrate life and make sure the people we support do too. We do this by treating everyone as individuals, and always tailoring our services and support to meet their needs.
Our friendly caring ethos is something we are immensely proud of and something we work hard to deliver to each family and resident throughout their stay. Our team strive to preserve the dignity, individuality and privacy of all our residents within a welcoming and caring atmosphere.
